We were pleased to join Professor Scott, Dr Patel and Dr Taylor-Jones, Guild & School of Medicine Staff and almost all associated medical societies tonight to discuss how, as a medical family, we can become a more caring, equal and inclusive community. Considerable work is now in progress across the School towards this, reflecting the voice of students who have shared their ideas and concerns.

We collectively looked a draft charter to see whether it sufficiently encapsulated all parties' views and we all contributed to its refinement. We enjoyed listening to the thoughts of our society and school colleagues on the initial first implementation steps that we as medical Societies can develop into more substantial action plans for this next year. We are excited to be a part of this change to create a better community together.

As student doctors we have to be mindful of our activities and who we engage with as the local lockdown comes into force in Liverpool and the surrounding areas tomorrow. The safety of patients and their loved ones is the priority. #PutPatientsBeforePub

We're pleased to announce that our online shop is officially OPEN! You can access the shop directly from the 'Shop' tab on our website.

Excitingly, we've got 5/6 year Membership and a Fleece/Sweatshirt combo deal for all our new freshers joining us this year, an absolute bargain at £60! We've also got fleeces, sweatshirts, mugs and water bottles available so go check them out!

NB. All fleece and sweatshirt orders must be made by the 9th October 2020. After this, Robert the Business Secretary will contact buyers when their items are ready for collection here in Liverpool.

For any alumni that are thinking of buying and no longer local to Liverpool, fear not! We've set up an alumni tab on the shop where we've included a fee for postage & packaging onto the price shown so you won't miss out!

It’s that time of the year again!! As last year the Yorkshire 3 peaks was such a success we’ve decided to arrange another walking challenge for this year.

Introducing ‘Caves, Waterfalls, Tarns and Mines’. This challenge features some of the best bits of the Yorkshire Dales and is around the same distance (37km) and climbing (4100 ft) as the 3 peaks, it even features a short roped climb. Although it may seem daunting for many we have been reassured that it is very doable so will be a great way to try something new!

It will take place on Saturday 26th September and the aim will be to complete the walk within 12 hours. The cost will be around £50 to take part including travel and a guide for the day- the more people who take part the cheaper it will be. If you would like to take part there will be a £25 deposit which will need to be transferred to 40-29-40 41550071 by 12th September and message us to let us know.

This is such a great way to challenge yourself and raise money for our charities, Wirral Mind and Claire House Hospice. If you have any questions at all don’t hesitate to ask. Hope everyone is enjoying the last of their summer and good luck to all who still have exams!

A very well done to everyone who took part in our isolation zoom quiz, we hope you had as much fun as we did!
With 60 questions covering general knowledge, music, Liverpool trivia, MBChB knowledge, sports and geography it was arguably the hardest we've had to think in quite a while.

Special shout out to the podium winners:
1st Place - Olivia, Gina, Megan and Aileen who bagged themselves the £50 cash prize with an amazing score of 52.
2nd Place - Kay , Kellan, Ed , Sheryl and Olivia who narrowly missed out on the top spot by 1 point but won themselves a very respectable £20.
3rd Place - Chloe, one of our very own annual ball secretaries this year who has won herself a free drink of her choice at an LMSS event!
The eSphincter is finally here!
